ISH
Campbell Arena
What is ISH? It's a piece about dreams and about one's worst nightmares, dreams of desire and the most delectably sweet dream. It's about that dream that can't be pinned down, that borders between dream and reality. It's a DJ-scratching, human beat-boxing, hip-hopping, in-line skating phenomenon that's taken Europe by storm and is about to claim North America as well. Creator Marco Gerris is the Netherlands Freestyle Skating Champion and mastermind behind ISH, bringing music, theatre, dance and skating together in one remarkable high-energy mix. ISH is the youth culture invigorated by the cross-pollination of different cultures and performance forms. Flying across half-pipes, tapping out rhythms on their skates and performing amazing feats of daring-do, ISH's seven young performers will blow you away.

Mur Mur
Utilicorp Stage
Two teenage couples in love, one pesky younger brother and a backstreet wall set the stage for the air-bound acrobatic ballet of Mur-Mur. With barely a few words spoken, the five agile actors/acrobats tumble their way through this exploration of friendship, stolen kisses, quarrels and discovery otherwise known as adolescence. Funny and phenomenal, Mur-Mur employs the RSVP-cycle method to physically spell words and phrases associated with the wall, resulting in an unforgettable physical theatre experience.

Snow White
Seniors Centre
England's acclaimed Tall Stories returns to the original devilish world of the Brothers Grimm in Snow White - a world where the wicked queen is our heroine's own mother! It is also a world where the seven dwarves are not as cuddly as we expect and where our beautiful Snow White (a little more vain and ill-tempered than her cartoon version) makes her evil mother dance on a bed of hot coals at her wedding. It's a wickedly wonderful musical romp though a favourite fairy tale!

The Happy Prince
Cornerstone Hall
Oscar Wilde's beloved fairy tale of a young sparrow and a Prince's statue comes alive in this fascinating production from Italy. Against the background of an original jazz score, a sole actor deftly cuts characters out of paper and dances with them, creating a magical world where statues talk and feel and the true meaning of love and friendship shines through. It's a magical production unlike anything seen before!
