Wax Hands: Using a special low degree melting point wax that doesn't burn the hands, participants dip their hands into vats of the wax to create life-sized hand sculptures in a rainbow of colours. Location: Painting Studios, St. Albert Place.
Egg-tivity tent: Get crackin' with fun and games by the dozen - all created with eggs! Free recipes are available for all to take home and make "egg-citing" and healthy meals. Location: Lions Park.
Moo-tivity tent: Find out how milk gets from the cow to the carton in this fun, interactive tent. Discover first-hand how butter is made - and tastes! Get "moo-ving" to the Moo-tivity Tent. Location: Lion's Park.
Edmonton Journal tent: Newspaper is more than yesterday's news when you create wondrous works of art out of it! Discover the lost art of newspaper arts and crafts and make 'headlines' with your handiwork. Location: St. Anne Street.
Grain Elevators: Visit Musée Héritage Museum where you can enjoy the Grain Elevator Photo Exhibit and learn all about grain, the main ingredient in that delicious slice of bread, through interesting hands-on activities.
The Power to Create tent: Legacy Story Quilt project, Plug-in Cover Plate Etching, Story Quilt Colouring Pages, and various other projects.
Welcome to Japan: Take a trip to the fascinating land of Japan without ever leaving St. Albert. This absorbing program features an introduction to the lives of Japanese school children and includes a unique opportunity to learn about traditional Japanese arts and culture, like origami and tea ceremonies. Location: St. Albert Public Library.
Rooney and Punyi's Performers for Literacy: It's a fun, fast-paced show chock full of audience participation, books, twisted fairy tales, singing and lots of laughs! Professional actors Paul Punyi and Maureen Rooney have been delighting young audiences since 1980 and they're guaranteed to prove to young audiences that you can have a lot of fun with reading. Location: St. Albert Public Library.
Westworld Technology Kids Zone: Members of the Kidzmatter.com Inc. Team will work with the children to design their very own electronic postcards. This will include learning different paint, draw and photo manipulation techniques. The Team will also guide the children through the Kidzmatter.com web site. Wherever possible, please have your children come to the workshop with an e-mail address of someone who can receive the finished postcard. Location: Quilting Studio, St. Albert Place.
