The Warehouse
The brilliantly named Cinematic Orchestra from the UK is led by composer/sampler/multi-instrumentalist Jason Swinscoe who formed his first group, Crabladder in 1990. Crabladder's fusion of jazz and hardcore punk elements with experimental rhythms, inspired Swinscoe to further explore the possibilities of sampling. After the group's demise in the mid-'90s he started recording on his own.

With a career spanning upwards of 30 years, Toronto's Globe and Mail calls him "one of the most important acoustic blues performers in the world."

Joshua Redman has enjoyed a meteric rise in success since he won the 1991 Thelonious Monk Institute of Jazz Competition. He burst onto the scene in 1993 with his self-titled debut and Wish, which together sold over a million copies. The quartet includes Aaron Goldberg, piano, Ruben Rogers, bass, and Greg Hutchison, drums.
